Several types of antecedents will be explored, including training, job aids, checklists, policies, and many more. Special considerations will be given for the use of goals as an antecedent, and why they sometimes appear to motivate behavior. Finally, the implications of motivating operations in the workplace will be discussed, highlighting the importance of their consideration when setting up reinforcement systems.
