Motivate U

The OBM/Management Skill Share Facebook Group, sponsored by Chief Motivating Officers, is excited to begin our OBM Skill Share Reading Club! Each month, a short reading from popular OBM practitioners and researchers will be featured (usually between 8 and 20 pages long). On the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM EST, we will be meeting for one hour via Zoom to recap the content of the reading, and discuss how what was read can be applied in our current work. Conversations will be facilitated by Shannon Biagi, MS, BCBA, an OBM practitioner and avid disseminator of behavior science applied at work, and CEO of Chief Motivating Officers, LLC.

For as long as possible, we will ensure the readings for each month are accessible for free (i.e. not locked behind a journal paywall or require the purchase of reading materials) in order to limit barriers to participation. We will also be contacting literature from pioneers in the field, to allow new prospective OBMers to become familiar with where we began as a science and who came before us. Most of the readings do not necessarily build upon one another, allowing for folks to join or skip meetings as needed without losing a lot of value.

Participation in the reading club is FREE, and meetings will be held February through October 2020. BACB CEUs may be available for participation in the future, and will be noted prior to the meeting. Please look for reminder posts in the OBM Skill Share Facebook group, and come prepared with questions and discussion points!

We've also opened up the option of becoming a Supporter for a small donation each month. For less than the price of one fancy coffee drink, you'll enable us to continue to host these meetings and share valuable information with our growing community of practitioners interested in OBM, and we'll highlight you at the beginning of each meeting as someone who makes what we do happen.
